In times of crisis, such as natural disasters or personal emergencies, LACs can provide immediate assistance and help residents navigate available resources.

Why the contribution is important

This would have been perfect for COVID. There is no doubt going to be another natural disaster and we need to be preparred.

There is the risk of the LACs being relied on too heavily as unpaid volunteers, when actual trained specialist should be used for these situations.

I agree this would need to be carefully monitored, but would be great it done well
